He Locks Himself Out Of His Own Account

There is a man in our room who locks himself out of his own trading account.

Not after a bad morning. After a good one.

He has done it at least four times in the last three weeks, and every single time, he was up when he did it.

"Now I lock myself out for an hour to take a break."

"Now locked out for the day to keep myself on the upswing."

He hit his number. The rule said stop. So he stopped, and then he took away his own ability to change his mind about it.

Anyone can take a trade. Most people struggle to step away and hold their wins.

That is the real skill, but "learn to quit while you are ahead" is a terrible headline.
