Traded My “Job” for My “Life”

Does it ever seem like your kids and family only get the "leftovers" of your time?

That certainly used to be my reality…

Until one day my 4-year old called me at work and it ended with him sobbing quietly on the other end (all he wanted was to play Legos with me).

But because I was away most of the time working as an engineer with 12-16 hour a day shifts, I had to turn him down.

It broke his heart, and mine.

As parents, we want nothing more than to see that our children have all their needs met…

Which forces us to make a trade-off:

Time for our family vs. the paycheck that supports them.

It was at that moment on the phone with my son that I realized something had to change.

Not just for me, but for my family.

I didn’t want my kids growing up thinking I was just a visitor in their lives…

…someone who showed up occasionally between work shifts, too tired to really engage.

It wasn’t until I discovered trading and turned $500 into $90k in 90 days that I realized I was on to something…

For the first time, I felt like I had the power to design my life around my family instead of the other way around.

I could be present for school drop-offs, weekend adventures, and even those quiet evenings spent building Lego castles together with my kids.

Trading allowed me to actually live my life with the people I love the most.
