Which Is More Important?

If you had to choose between your family and a dream income, what would you choose?

I think the obvious answer is your family…

…But is it really so obvious?

I grew up in a household where between my mom (who was a teacher) and my dad (who was a custodian) we still weren’t quite making 6 figures.

So growing up I always thought cracking that 6 figure mark was the golden goose for all my financial troubles.

When I got there, however, I found my priorities completely out of wack.

My job as an engineer often required me to work 60+ hours in a week AND I was traveling 2 weeks every month.

Over time, the work schedule was putting a massive strain on my kids.

It felt like I barely got to see them and our relationship was getting more and more distant.

I eventually had to ask some hard questions.

Here’s what my own conversation sounded like:

Why am I working so many hours?
To provide a quality life-style for my kids.

Is the time away from them worth that life-style?
I don’t really know (or I’m afraid to answer that because I know nothing else).

If they could choose giving up some of that life-style to have more time with their dad, would they pick that?
Yes they would, in a heartbeat.

Then stop saying you work crazy hours for your kids, because they care more about time than money.

So what should I do?
Figure out how to have money AND time.

And so I spent 3 months figuring out other avenues I could take.

Once I picked a direction, I quit my 6 figure job and went to town on making an income from home.

Over the years it has led me to the BEST and GREATEST way to make an income without sacrificing family time:

Trading.

Trading has been an absolute game changer for me and so many others.
