What kind of eulogy will people give at our own funeral?

Have you ever thought about that?

I first got this idea from a book called “Living Forward” by Michael Hyatt.

In the book he suggests we take our time and write our own eulogy based on what we hope people will say and remember about us.

To be honest this was kind of difficult for me because at the time I read the book, I had only really been to one significant funeral in my life.

However, a few years ago my father passed away.

One year later my grandma passed as well.

I’m not writing this to get sympathy or anything, I love them both and have very fond memories of both of them.

One of the biggest things I noticed at their funerals was how everyone was remembering them.

They were talking about specific stories where they showed love or kindness. Or in my dad’s case when he was cracking jokes and the most inappropriate times hahah.

They were talking about SO many things that it was SO obvious what they weren’t talking about.

They mentioned nothing about wealth.

Nothing about how much they were worth.

Nothing about assets left for their children.

So when we talk about Legacy, there’s a pecking order of what’s most important.

Money, assets, and anything else with monetary value is the bottom of the list.

Relationships and Helping others is at the very TOP.

That’s why we, as a company, have a set of mission, vision, and values that remain at the top of our decision-making processes.

We value People over Profits.

We value Impact over Income.

Prosperity Movement will be around for more than our own life-time, and the legacy left in our wake will be just like the legacy of my dad and grandma…
