It’s wild how fast people will go $100K into debt for a degree that does little more than qualify them to ask, “Do you want fries with that?”...

But hesitate to learn a skill that could give them true financial freedom.

Go to college, they said.

It’ll open doors, they said.

And it does – but mostly just to debt collection agencies.

We were told the formula was foolproof:

Get the degree. Get the job. Get ahead.

But for most people, that path doesn’t lead to wealth anymore.

For me, it led to $80K in loans, a framed piece of paper on the wall, and a job that barely paid more than the one I had before going.

Truth is, college has become one of the most expensive ways to stay financially stuck.

Years of study.

By the time I graduated, half of what I studied was already outdated –

but hey, at least I knew how to write a research paper on supply chain theory.
